Preparation
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger to prepare the sauce.
Cooking
- In a large skillet over medium heat, warm up the sesame oil.
- Add the shrimp and sauté for about 3-4 minutes, flipping halfway through until pink and opaque.
- Pour the honey garlic sauce over the shrimp and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- While the shrimp is cooking, bring a small pot of water to a boil and add the broccoli florets. Blanch for about 2-3 minutes until just tender, then drain.
Assembly
- In each bowl, start with a scoop of rice, followed by the honey garlic shrimp and blanched broccoli.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
Serving
- Enjoy your Honey Garlic Shrimp Bowls with a fork or chopsticks!
Notes
Frozen shrimp is fine, just make sure to thaw before cooking. For a vegetarian version, substitute shrimp with tofu or chickpeas. For thicker sauce, allow it to reduce longer while stirring frequently.
