  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Additions
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Add more chocolate for extra richness

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter until completely liquid.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Stir gently until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper and pour your batter in.
Baking
  1. Bake for about 45-55 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Cooling
  1. Let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
