Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter until completely liquid.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Stir gently until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper and pour your batter in.
Baking
- Bake for about 45-55 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Cooling
- Let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
