Preparation
- In a small bowl, mix the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it’s foamy.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center, and pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until a shaggy dough forms.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead it for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place your dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1-2 hours, or until it has doubled in size.
- Once your dough has risen, punch it down gently and divide it into 2 or 3 equal parts, depending on desired pizza size.
Baking
- Roll out each piece of dough into your desired thickness.
- Pre-bake your crust for about 5-7 minutes at 475°F for extra crunch, if desired.
- Top your pizza dough with your favorite sauces, cheeses, and toppings.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden and delicious.
Notes
