  • 1 package 1 package (9 oz) of cheese tortellini
  • 1 cup 1 cup of salami, diced Pepperoni works as an alternative.
  • 1 cup 1 cup of mozzarella balls or diced mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup 1 cup of cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup of red bell pepper, diced
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup of red onion, diced
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup of black olives, sliced
  • 1/3 cup 1/3 cup of Italian salad dressing Store-bought or homemade.
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Method
 

Cooking the Tortellini
  1. Start by boiling water in a large pot. Add a pinch of salt to the water.
  2. Add the tortellini and cook according to package instructions, usually around 4 to 5 minutes.
  3. Once they float to the top, drain and rinse under cold water.
Mixing Ingredients
  1. In a large bowl, combine your cooked tortellini, diced salami, mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, bell pepper, red onion, and olives.
Dressing the Salad
  1. Pour the Italian salad dressing over the mix and toss gently to coat without turning it into a mushy mess.
Garnishing and Serving
  1. Sprinkle fresh basil leaves on top before serving.
  2. If time allows, let the salad chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes to enhance flavors.

Notes

This salad can last for about 3 days in the fridge. Feel free to customize ingredients and use store-bought dressing for convenience.
