Ingredients

For the Steak Bites
  • 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
For the Creamy Parmesan Sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste pepper
For Cheesy Mashed Potatoes
  • 2 pounds russet potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • to taste Salt

Method

Cooking the Potatoes
  1. Boil the cubed potatoes in salted water until tender (about 15-20 minutes).
Searing the Steak
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the steak pieces with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and then add them to the skillet.
  3. Sear the steak bites for 2-3 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Once cooked, remove them from the pan and set them aside.
Preparing the Creamy Sauce
  1. In the same skillet used for the steak, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  2. Pour in the heavy cream, followed by the grated parmesan cheese. Stir continuously until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens.
  3. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to tie all those flavors together.
Mashing the Potatoes
  1. Drain the cooked potatoes and return them to the pot.
  2. Add butter, milk, and cheddar cheese. Mash until creamy and smooth.
  3. Season to taste with salt.
Serving
  1. On a plate, spoon on a generous amount of cheesy mashed potatoes, top with juicy steak bites, and drizzle the creamy parmesan sauce over everything.
  2. Voila! Dinner is served!

Notes

Steak Tips: Not a fan of sirloin? Feel free to swap it out for your favorite cut of meat. Just remember to adjust the cooking time based on the thickness. Lumpy Sauce? Don’t worry if your sauce looks lumpy—it’s part of the magic! Just keep stirring, and it’ll turn out irresistibly creamy. Make Ahead: Consider making the mashed potatoes ahead of time and reheating them when you’re ready to serve.
