Preparation
- If your crab legs are frozen, thaw them overnight in the fridge or place them in a bowl of cold water for about 30 minutes.
Cooking
- Fill a large pot with water and add Old Bay seasoning. Bring it to a boil on the stovetop.
- Once the water is boiling, carefully add the crab legs. Cover the pot and steam them for about 5-7 minutes.
- While the crab legs are cooking, melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add the minced garlic and lemon juice, stirring until fragrant.
Serving
- Once the crab legs are ready and turned a gorgeous deep red, remove them from the pot and place them on a serving tray.
- Drizzle the garlic butter over the crab legs, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.
- Enjoy dipping the crab meat in the leftover garlic butter!
Notes
For leftovers, store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat gently in the oven wrapped in foil to keep them moist. If you're new to cracking crab legs, use a seafood cracker or a small hammer, being careful to preserve the meat.
