Ingredients
  

For the Salmon Preparation
  • 1 pound salmon fillets (boneless, skinless)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 unit zest of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, finely chopped
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • thin cucumber slices (optional) For crunch
  • cream cheese or yogurt (optional) For a creamier finish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper, then add lemon juice and zest.
Cooking
  1. Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until cooked through and flaking easily.
Assembly
  1. Once the salmon is out of the oven and cooled slightly, flake it into a mixing bowl.
  2. Add the chopped basil and cream cheese or yogurt if desired, then mix until combined.
  3. Take a slice of cucumber, place some salmon filling on one end, and roll it up tightly, securing with a toothpick if necessary.
Serving
  1. Serve the salmon rolls cold on a platter.

Notes

Prepare the salmon filling ahead of time and refrigerate it to save time. These rolls are meant to be fun and delicious, perfection isn’t necessary!
