Method
Cooking the Noodles
- Start by boiling a pot of water. Once it’s bubbling, add the lo mein noodles and cook according to package directions until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water.
Preparing the Sauce
- In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil.
Sautéing the Vegetables
- In a large skillet or wok over medium heat, add a splash of oil. Toss in the minced garlic, followed by the bell pepper and carrot. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the broccoli and bean sprouts and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Combining Noodles and Sauce
- Add the cooked noodles to the skillet, pouring over the sauce. Toss everything together, adding a splash of water if needed.
Finishing Touch
- Sprinkle the chopped green onions over the top and give it one last toss.
Notes
If noodles are sticking, a sprinkle of sesame oil can help. Feel free to add or substitute veggies based on what you have. For a saucier dish, increase soy sauce and oyster sauce amounts.
