Ingredients
  

Nachos Base Ingredients
  • 1 bag Tortilla chips The crunchier, the better!
  • 1 cup Shredded cheese (cheddar or a blend)
  • 1 cup Cooked and seasoned ground beef Can substitute with black beans for a veggie option.
  • 1 cup Black beans (rinsed and drained)
  • 1 piece Jalapeño, sliced Add more if you like the heat!
  • 1 medium Tomato, diced
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream
  • 1/4 cup Chopped green onions
  • 1 piece Avocado, diced Optional but recommended!
  • to taste Salsa Homemade or store-bought.
  • to taste Optional toppings: olives, cilantro, or guacamole For extra flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Spread a generous layer of tortilla chips on a large baking sheet or oven-safe dish.
  3. Sprinkle half the shredded cheese on top of the chips, then evenly add the ground beef (or black beans), followed by the black beans, jalapeño slices, diced tomatoes, and any optional toppings.
  4. Finish with another layer of cheese.
Cooking
  1. Bake your nachos in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  2. Once out of the oven, top with dollops of sour cream, diced avocado, chopped green onions, and salsa.

Notes

Feel free to personalize the nachos with leftover chicken, corn, or different cheese blends. Keep toppings on the side until ready to serve to prevent soggy chips. You can also add hot sauce or spicy pepper jack cheese for extra heat.
