Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined Bonus points if they're from the Gulf!
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce Adjust to your spice tolerance!
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic Because garlic makes everything better!
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Smoked paprika if you have it!
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped For garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Rinse the shrimp in cool water, then pat them dry with a paper towel.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
  2. Once the butter starts to bubble, add in the minced garlic and let it sizzle until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, lemon juice, and paprika. Let it froth up.
  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Serving
  1. Spoon the shrimp and buttery sauce over rice or serve with crusty bread.

Notes

Customize the heat level of the dish by adjusting the amount of hot sauce. Serve with bread to soak up the sauce or alongside a green salad or collard greens.
