Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Remove the casings from the sausage links and roll the sausage into small balls, about the size of a golf ball.
- Wrap each sausage ball with a half slice of bacon, securing it with a toothpick.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place your bacon-wrapped sausage bites on the sheet.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until well combined. Brush half of this mixture over the sausage bites.
Cooking
- Bake in the oven for 20 minutes. At the halfway mark, brush on the remaining maple glaze.
- After 25-30 minutes, check for crispiness. Broil for an extra 2-3 minutes for maximum crispiness, if desired.
Serving
- Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, and serve with toothpicks.
