  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes Optional for a bit of heat.

  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil High quality is best for flavor.

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine the mozzarella balls, artichoke hearts, black and green olives, and torn basil leaves. Gently mix with your hands.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the minced garlic, olive oil, red pepper flakes (if using), and a generous pinch of salt and pepper.
  3. Drizzle the marinade over the cheese and vegetable mixture.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes or up to an hour for best flavor.
  5. Serve the platter on a beautiful board or platter, paired with crusty bread or crunchy crackers.

Notes

This platter can be made ahead of time, and the flavors get better after sitting. Customize the ingredients as desired.
