Ingredients

Frappe Base
  • 1.5 cups strongly brewed coffee, cooled (or 2 tablespoons instant espresso + 1 1/2 cups cold water)
  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream (or 1 cup vanilla Greek yogurt + 1 cup ice for a lighter option)
  • 1/3 cup whole milk (or almond/oat milk)
  • 4 tablespoons caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzle, homemade or store-bought)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (optional, to taste)
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • 1 can whipped cream (for topping)
  • 1 pinch sea salt (optional, to enhance flavor)

Method

Preparation
  1. Chill your coffee by letting it cool to room temperature or refrigerating for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Pour the chilled coffee, vanilla ice cream, milk, caramel sauce, and sugar (if using) into a blender.
  3. Add the ice cubes on top and secure the lid.
  4. Blend on low speed, then increase to high for about 30-45 seconds until smooth and frothy.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more caramel or sugar if desired, or thicken by adding more ice or ice cream.
  6. Drizzle caramel sauce inside two tall glasses before pouring the frappe.
  7. Top with whipped cream, a drizzle of caramel sauce, and a pinch of sea salt if desired.

Notes

For a thicker frappe, use more ice cream; for a lighter version, increase milk. Chill glasses to keep the frappe cold longer. Make-ahead by freezing excess mixture in popsicle molds.
