  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9x13 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter. Whisk in the sugar until combined, followed by the eggs and vanilla.
  3. In another bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
Baking the Brownies
  1. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared dish and spread it out evenly. Bake for about 20 minutes.
Preparing the Cheesecake Layer
  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add in the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract; mix until well blended.
Layering and Baking Again
  1. Once the brownies are done baking, remove them from the oven and pour the cheesecake mixture over the brownie base. Bake for another 25-30 minutes, or until the cheesecake is set and lightly golden.
Making the Topping
  1. Melt the chopped Milky Way bars with the sweetened condensed milk in a saucepan over low heat until smooth.
Final Assembly
  1. After the cheesecake layer has cooled slightly, drizzle the Milky Way caramel topping over it and add extra caramel sauce if desired.
  2. Allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

Keep an eye on your brownies while baking; they should be fudgy, not dry. If you forget to soften the cream cheese, microwave it briefly for easier mixing. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-5 days or freeze tightly wrapped for later enjoyment.
