  • 3-4 lb. boneless chuck roast
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1 stick unsalted butter Don't skimp on the butter for richness.
  • 5-8 pieces pepperoncini peppers Add more if desired for extra zing.
  • Optional: carrots, potatoes, or any vegetables you love Add these halfway through cooking for extra flavor.

Preparation
  1. Start by giving your boneless chuck roast a good rubdown with some salt and pepper.
Cooking
  1. In your slow cooker, place the seasoned roast.
  2. Sprinkle the ranch and au jus gravy mixes over the top.
  3. Place the stick of butter on top and add the pepperoncini peppers.
  4. Set your slow cooker to low for about 8 hours, or on high for 4 hours.
Shredding
  1. Once it’s done cooking, shred the roast with two forks right in the slow cooker.
  2. Serve it up with the juices from the slow cooker.

Notes

Add veggies for more flavor and nutrition. The leftovers make great sandwiches.
