Ingredients
  

For the salmon balls
  • 1 lb fresh salmon, skin removed Can substitute with canned salmon if necessary
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs Use gluten-free breadcrumbs for a gluten-free version
  • 1 large egg To bind the mixture
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped For flavor and garnish
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced For added flavor
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice Freshly squeezed for best flavor
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
For the creamy avocado sauce
  • 1 ripe avocado Must be ripe for smooth texture
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt Can use sour cream for a more tangy flavor
  • 1 tbsp lime juice Freshly squeezed
  • 1 clove garlic, minced Optional for extra flavor
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Method
 

Preparation of Salmon Balls
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine fresh salmon, breadcrumbs, egg, parsley, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.
  3. Form the mixture into small balls, about the size of a golf ball.
  4. Place the salmon balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking the Salmon Balls
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden and cooked through.
Preparation of Creamy Avocado Sauce
  1. In a blender, combine ripe avocado, Greek yogurt, lime juice, minced garlic, and salt.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning if necessary.

Notes

Serve the salmon balls warm with the creamy avocado sauce on the side. Can be garnished with extra parsley if desired.
