Method
Crust Creation
- In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Mix until it resembles sand.
- Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
- Chill the crust in the fridge while preparing the filling.
Cheesecake Filling
- In a large mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy, about 2 minutes.
- Gently fold in the whipped cream, orange juice, orange zest, and vanilla extract.
Mix & Pour
- Pour the creamy filling over the chilled crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
Finishing Touch
- Garnish before serving with extra whipped cream and orange slices for a beautiful presentation.
Notes
Chill the cheesecake thoroughly for best results. If using whipped cream instead of Cool Whip, ensure it’s fluffy for a light and airy filling.
