Ingredients
  

For the crust
  • 1.5 cups 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 0.5 cups ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
For the cheesecake filling
  • 3 cups 3 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cups 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1.5 cups 1 ½ cups whipped cream (or Cool Whip) Feel free to use Cool Whip for a nostalgic touch.
  • 0.25 cups ¼ cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 teaspoons 2 teaspoons orange zest
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Crust Creation
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Mix until it resembles sand.
  2. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  3. Chill the crust in the fridge while preparing the filling.
Cheesecake Filling
  1. In a large mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy, about 2 minutes.
  2. Gently fold in the whipped cream, orange juice, orange zest, and vanilla extract.
Mix & Pour
  1. Pour the creamy filling over the chilled crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  2. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
Finishing Touch
  1. Garnish before serving with extra whipped cream and orange slices for a beautiful presentation.

Notes

Chill the cheesecake thoroughly for best results. If using whipped cream instead of Cool Whip, ensure it’s fluffy for a light and airy filling.
