Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 36 cookies Oreo cookies The classic kind
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened No judgment here, just cream cheese happiness!
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips For that gorgeous drizzle
  • 1/2 tsp peppermint extract To make your taste buds dance with festive cheer
  • 1/4 cup crushed peppermint candies Or candy canes, go wild!

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by crushing the Oreo cookies until they are fine crumbs using a food processor or a rolling pin in a zip-top bag.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the crushed Oreos with the softened cream cheese and peppermint extract, mixing until combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into small balls, about the size of a tablespoon, and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Chilling
  1. Refrigerate the baking sheet for at least 30 minutes to firm up the truffles.
Coating
  1. Melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 30-second intervals and stirring until smooth.
  2. Dip each chilled truffle into the melted white chocolate, letting the excess drip off before placing them back on the baking sheet.
  3. Sprinkle the truffles with crushed peppermint candies before the chocolate sets.
Setting
  1. Allow the chocolate to harden completely, optionally refrigerating for an additional 15-30 minutes.

Notes

If you don’t have white chocolate chips, dark or milk chocolate chips work too. Make a double batch as these are likely to disappear quickly! Pack them in a cute box for last-minute gifts.
