Preparation
- In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, yogurt, and baking powder. Mix until a rough dough starts to form.
- Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead it a few times until smooth.
Cooking
- Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and pat each into a disk about 1/4 inch thick.
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat and place one disk onto the hot skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and puffed.
- Repeat cooking with the remaining disks.
Serving
- Serve the bazlama warm, paired with your favorite dips or simply enjoyed with olive oil and salt.
Notes
Do not skip the yogurt as it keeps the bread soft. Store leftovers wrapped in plastic in the fridge for a couple of days. You can add herbs or spices to the dough for extra flavor.
