Method
Prepping the Pavlova
- Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
- In a clean, dry mixing bowl, whip the egg whites until soft peaks form.
- Gradually add the granulated sugar, one tablespoon at a time, allowing it to dissolve fully.
- Add the vanilla extract, white vinegar, and cornstarch, gently folding them into the mixture.
Baking
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and shape the meringue into a large tree shape.
- Bake for about 1.5 hours, then turn off the oven and let the Pavlova cool completely inside.
Decorating
- Gently peel the Pavlova off the parchment paper and top generously with whipped cream, followed by strawberries and passionfruit pulp.
- Sprinkle with edible glitter or powdered sugar for a festive touch.
Notes
Store the Pavlova base separately from toppings to maintain its crispiness. Make it a day in advance and add toppings just before serving.
