Ingredients
  

Pizza Base
  • 1 pieces pizza crust (store-bought or homemade)
Cheeses
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded Don’t skimp on the cheese!
  • ½ cup gorgonzola cheese, crumbled Optional but highly recommended
Fruits and Vegetables
  • 1 pieces ripe pear, thinly sliced The star of the show!
  • 1 handful arugula For some greens
Condiments
  • 1 tablespoon truffle oil Oh, la la!
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • to drizzle balsamic glaze For drizzling

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. Place your pizza crust on a baking sheet or pizza stone.
Layer the Pizza
  1. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese evenly on the crust.
  2. Artfully arrange pear slices on top.
  3. Drizzle truffle oil over the pizza.
  4. If using gorgonzola, sprinkle it on now.
  5. Add the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
Baking
  1. Bake for about 10-12 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
Serving
  1. Let it cool for a minute, then top with fresh arugula and drizzle with balsamic glaze.
  2. Slice and serve hot.

Notes

For substitutions, if you can’t find pears, apples work in a pinch! If you are not a fan of gorgonzola, try goat cheese or parmesan instead. Adjust truffle oil to taste, or skip it if you prefer.
