Ingredients
  

Salad Base
  • 5 cups mixed greens You can use spinach, arugula, or any greens on hand.
  • 2 pieces ripe pears, sliced Choose juicy pears.
Toppings
  • 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese or goat cheese Cheese adds richness.
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, toasted Pecans can be used alternatively.
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries For a sweet-tart flavor.
Dressing
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • to taste salt and pepper Adjust seasoning as needed.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash the mixed greens and slice the pears. Optional: sprinkle the pears with lemon juice to prevent browning.
Mixing
  1. In a large bowl, toss the mixed greens with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper.
Assembly
  1. Place the dressed greens on a large platter or individual plates, then arrange the pear slices on top.
  2. Sprinkle the crumbled cheese, toasted walnuts, and dried cranberries over the salad.
  3. Serve immediately for the freshest taste.

Notes

Choose Bosc or Anjou pears for best results. Store leftovers separately to prevent wilting. Can substitute other fruits like apples.
