Ingredients

Dough
  • 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
Filling
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley optional
For Brushing
  • 1 large egg (beaten)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle, aiming for about ¼ inch thickness.
  3. Spread the ricotta cheese evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. Layer on the mozzarella, pepperoni, and Parmesan. If desired, sprinkle some fresh parsley on top.
  5. Starting from one long edge, carefully roll the dough into a log, tucking in the sides as you go. Pinch the ends to seal it.
  6. Place the stromboli seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Brush the top with the beaten egg mixture, then sprinkle with garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  2. Allow the stromboli to cool slightly before slicing.

Notes

Feel free to swap out pepperoni for other fillings like sautéed veggies or different cheeses. Serve with marinara or ranch dressing for dipping.
