Ingredients

Fresh Ingredients
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1-2 jalapeños Depending on how spicy you like it
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice Freshly squeezed is best!
  • Salt To taste
  • A splash of water To thin it out, if desired

Method

Preparation
  1. Grab your blender or food processor and toss in the cilantro, jalapeños, garlic, and a pinch of salt. Blend until finely chopped.
  2. Add in the mayonnaise and lime juice. Blend again until everything is combined. If the sauce is too thick for your liking, just add a splash of water to achieve the desired consistency.
  3. Give your creation a taste! Adjust the salt or squeeze in a bit more lime juice if you’re feeling adventurous.
  4. Transfer your fabulous sauce into an airtight container. It will keep in the fridge for about a week.

Notes

Adjust Spice Levels: Love the heat? Don’t hesitate to leave some seeds in your jalapeños. Not a fan? Just de-seed them for a milder sauce. Make It Ahead: This sauce tastes even better after a day in the fridge as the flavors meld together. Experiment: Try adding other herbs like parsley or swapping out the mayo for Greek yogurt for a lighter version.
