Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Melt the butter in a 9-inch round cake pan.
- Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the melted butter.
- Arrange the pineapple slices on top of the brown sugar and place a cherry in the center of each slice.
Mix the Batter
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture, stirring until you have a silky batter.
Bake the Cake
- Gently pour the batter over your pineapple arrangement in the cake pan.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.

- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before flipping it onto a plate.
