Ingredients
  

For the Ribeye Steaks
  • 2 pieces prime ribeye steaks, about 1 inch thick
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • optional Fresh rosemary or thyme, for garnish
For the Garlic Butter Shrimp
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • for serving Lemon wedges

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Season the ribeye steaks generously with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Cooking the Steaks
  1. Once the oil is shimmering, add the seasoned ribeye steaks and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
  2. Add the crushed garlic for the last minute of cooking.
  3. Remove the steaks from the pan and let them rest.
Cooking the Shrimp
  1. In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add the butter.
  2. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant for about 1 minute.
  3. Place the shrimp into the skillet, sprinkle with paprika, salt, and pepper, and cook until they turn pink and opaque, roughly 3-4 minutes.
Serving
  1. Slice the ribeye steaks against the grain and plate them.
  2. Top with the garlic butter shrimp and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
  3. Serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

Compliment this meal with a fresh salad and a nice glass of red wine. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
