- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the instant pudding mix and cold milk for about 2 minutes until thick and creamy.
- Gently fold in the whipped topping to the pudding mixture until smooth and fluffy.
- If desired, add food coloring and swirl it in to create patterns, then add sprinkles on top.
- Chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes to allow flavors to develop.
- Spread the frosting generously over cakes, brownies, or cupcakes, or serve as a dip for fruit.
Notes
Don't skimp on mixing for a fluffier frosting. You can use different pudding flavors for variety. This frosting can be made a day ahead and stored in the fridge.
