Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 large sourdough loaf store-bought or homemade
  • 8 oz brie cheese cut into small cubes
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce homemade or store-bought
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped, for garnish
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Take your sourdough loaf and make deep cuts in a crisscross pattern, not cutting all the way through.
  3. Gently stuff the brie pieces into the cuts of the sourdough, followed by dollops of cranberry sauce.
  4. In a small bowl, mix your melted butter with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Brush this mixture all over the bread.
  5. Tent the bread loosely with aluminum foil.
Baking
  1. Pop the bread in the oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil during the last 5 minutes to achieve a golden crust.
Serving
  1. Once out of the oven, sprinkle some fresh parsley on top and serve immediately while warm.

Notes

Don't skip the foil to keep the bread moisture. You may experiment with different cheeses if brie is not your favorite. This can be prepared in advance for gatherings; just bake it before serving.
