For the Orange Creamsicle Layer
  • 1 cup orange juice freshly squeezed is always a bonus
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup whipped topping or whipped cream
  • 1 each Zest of 1 orange
For the Crust
  • 1.5 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 0.25 cup sugar
For Garnish (optional)
  • to taste Fresh orange slices
  • to taste Whipped cream dollops
  • to taste A sprinkle of orange zest

Method
 

Crust Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Mix until it resembles wet sand.
  3. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch pie plate.
  4. Bake for about 8-10 minutes, until lightly golden. Set aside to cool.
Filling Preparation
  1. In a separate bowl, combine the orange juice, sweetened condensed milk, and orange zest. Whisk until smooth.
  2. Gently fold in the whipped topping or whipped cream until well blended and fluffy.
Assemble and Freeze
  1. Pour the creamy orange mixture into the cooled graham cracker crust. Spread it out evenly and smooth the top.
  2. Cover the pie with plastic wrap and pop it in the freezer for at least 4 hours or until set.
Serving
  1. Once you’re ready to indulge, take it out of the freezer, let it sit for about 5 minutes, and then slice into this refreshing masterpiece.
  2. Top with a dollop of whipped cream and a slice of fresh orange before serving.
