  • 1 tablespoon cajun seasoning adjust based on your spice preference
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Method

Preparation
  1. Generously season both sides of your ribeye steaks with salt and pepper.
  2. In a bowl, combine the shrimp, lemon juice, garlic, cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let it marinate while you focus on the steaks.
Cooking the Steak
  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Once it's shimmering, add the steaks and cook for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare.
  3. During the last minute, throw in the butter and minced garlic and baste the steaks with the melted butter.
Cooking the Shrimp
  1. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5-10 minutes.
  2. In the same skillet, add a splash more butter and toss in the marinated shrimp.
  3. Sauté for 2-3 minutes or until they turn pink and opaque.
Plating
  1. Serve the steaks alongside the shrimp and drizzle with any leftover butter sauce from the pan.
  2. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

For added flavor, you can include hot sauce or grated parmesan cheese with the shrimp. Make sure to let the steak rest for optimal juiciness. This recipe can also be easily adapted for grilling.
