  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary
Wet Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
For Serving
  • Butter for spreading Optional but highly recommended!

Preparation
  1. Preheat your cast iron skillet in the oven at 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and chopped rosemary.
  3. In another bowl, mix the olive oil, milk, and minced garlic.
  4. Gradually combine the wet and dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the preheated skillet.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. Let the bread cool for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

For variations, try different herbs or add cheese to the batter before baking. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days or wrap tightly and freeze for up to three months.
