Ingredients
  

Eyeball Ingredients
  • 1 cup Fresh mozzarella balls Bocconcini work great!
  • 8 slices Salami slices Feel free to use any preferred meats.
  • 8 pieces Pimento-stuffed green olives The spookier, the better!
  • 1 pack Toothpicks For assembly.
  • optional Fresh basil leaves Optional garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Drain the mozzarella balls and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. Take a toothpick and thread on a mozzarella ball.
Assembly
  1. Add a slice of salami next to the mozzarella ball, folding the salami into a circle to resemble an eyeball.
  2. Slice the olives in half and nestle them in the center of the mozzarella.
  3. Optional: Add a dab of cream cheese or slice of the pimento in the center for added color.
  4. Garnish with a fresh basil leaf if desired.
Serving
  1. Arrange your Salami Mozzarella Eyeballs on a festive platter and serve.

Notes

These eyeballs can be part of a larger charcuterie board. Use different meats or cheeses as desired. Great for involving kids in the kitchen—let them decorate with toppings!
