Ingredients

Seafood
  • 1 lb salmon fillets Choose wild-caught for the best taste.
  • ½ lb shrimp, peeled and deveined Fresh or frozen will work.
Creamy Sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Garlic is essential for flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish Optional, but adds a nice touch.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large skillet, heat the butter and olive oil over medium heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Cooking Seafood
  1. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper. Place them in the skillet skin side down. Cook for 5-6 minutes on each side, depending on the thickness of the fillets.
  2. After flipping the salmon, add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque.
Creating the Sauce
  1. Pour in the heavy cream and stir everything together, scraping any tasty bits from the bottom of the pan. Let it simmer for a couple of minutes to thicken, seasoning to taste with salt and pepper.
Serving
  1. Plate the salmon and shrimp, drizzle with the creamy sauce, and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, squeeze fresh lemon over the dish before serving. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of pasta water or broth. You can substitute shrimp for scallops or grilled veggies if desired.
