Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Beat until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and salted caramel pieces.
Baking
- Using a cookie scoop, drop tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches between each mound.
- Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden and the centers look slightly underbaked.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
