- Start by washing and cutting your broccoli into bite-sized florets and slice the mushrooms. Mince the garlic and ginger.
Cooking
- In a large skillet or wok, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
- Add the broccoli florets to the pan and sauté for about 3-4 minutes, until bright green.
- Next, add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for an additional 5-7 minutes while stirring often.
- Toss in the minced garlic and grated ginger and sauté for about 1 minute.
- Pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil, stir everything together and sauté for another minute. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer the stir-fry to a serving dish, sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions.
Notes
Feel free to add other vegetables or proteins like tofu, chicken, or shrimp. Avoid overcooking to maintain the broccoli's crispness.
