  • 3 cups broccoli florets Wash and cut into bite-sized pieces.
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms Button or cremini mushrooms work well.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated Can substitute with a pinch of ground ginger.
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce Tamari can be used for gluten-free.
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil Adds a nutty flavor.
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start by washing and cutting your broccoli into bite-sized florets and slice the mushrooms. Mince the garlic and ginger.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet or wok, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
  2. Add the broccoli florets to the pan and sauté for about 3-4 minutes, until bright green.
  3. Next, add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for an additional 5-7 minutes while stirring often.
  4. Toss in the minced garlic and grated ginger and sauté for about 1 minute.
  5. Pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil, stir everything together and sauté for another minute. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Transfer the stir-fry to a serving dish, sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

Feel free to add other vegetables or proteins like tofu, chicken, or shrimp. Avoid overcooking to maintain the broccoli's crispness.
