Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, toss your sliced steak with soy sauce and cornstarch. Let it sit for about 10-15 minutes while you prep the veggies.
Cooking
- In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated steak to the pan in a single layer. Let it cook for about 2-3 minutes without stirring.
- Once cooked, remove the beef from the skillet and set it aside.
- Add a splash more oil if needed, then toss in the bell pepper, onion, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes until the veggies are tender-crisp.
- Return the steak to the pan and add the oyster sauce and sesame oil. Stir everything together, cooking for another minute or two until heated through.
Serving
- Spoon your beautifully vibrant stir-fry over cooked rice or noodles. Enjoy!
Notes
If you're short on time, buy pre-sliced steak from the butcher. Feel free to experiment with different veggies such as snow peas, broccoli, or baby corn. Don't worry if your sauce looks a little lumpy; it's all part of the magic!
