Ingredients

Seafood
  • 4 large large sea scallops
  • 2 pieces lobster tails
Cooking Essentials
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 whole lemon (juiced and zested)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Garnish
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by carefully slicing open the lobster tails with a sharp knife. Remove the meat and set it aside to season with salt, pepper, and a generous squeeze of lemon juice.
Cooking Scallops
  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Once hot, add the scallops. Sear for about 2-3 minutes each side until they’re golden brown.
Cooking Lobster
  1. In the same pan, add a bit more butter and toss in the minced garlic and lobster meat.
  2. Cook until opaque and tender, about 4-5 minutes.
Finishing Touches
  1. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over both the scallops and lobster meat. Sprinkle lemon zest and give them a gentle toss before removing from heat.
Plating
  1. Arrange the seared scallops and lobster on plates, drizzle with any remaining buttery goodness from the pan, and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

Don’t crowd the pan! Ensure the scallops and lobster have enough space to cook properly. Consider adding a splash of white wine to enhance the flavor while cooking lobster.
