Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound fresh sea scallops
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ΒΌ cup white wine (or chicken broth)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for a zesty finish)

Method

Preparation
  1. Pat the scallops dry with a paper towel and season both sides with salt and pepper.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and let it shimmer.
  2. Add the scallops in a single layer and sear without moving them for about 2-3 minutes per side.
  3. Once golden, remove scallops from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add minced garlic and stir for about a minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in white wine (or broth) and let it simmer for about 2 minutes.
  6. Add heavy cream, stir until smooth, and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  7. Return scallops to the skillet to warm through, garnish with parsley and lemon juice.

Notes

Avoid crowding the pan for even searing; shrimp can be used as a substitute for scallops. Serve over pasta, rice, or salad for a complete meal.
