Ingredients
  

For the Cake
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cups unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cups milk Almond milk or yogurt can be used as substitutes.
  • 3 pieces eggs
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
For the Frosting
  • 1.5 cups powdered sugar
  • 0.5 cups unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp milk Add more for desired consistency.
For the Twist
  • 0.5 cups chopped nuts Your choice.
  • 1 cups chocolate chips Or for a fruity twist, add 1 cup of berries.

Preparation
  1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Mix It Up: In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  3. Add Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk and adding the vanilla extract.
  4. Incorporate the Twist: Fold in the chocolate chips or berries along with the chopped nuts until everything is nicely combined.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth out the top. Bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  2. Let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
Frosting
  1. Beat the softened butter and powdered sugar together. Add vanilla and milk until reaching the desired consistency. Slather over the cooled cake.

  1. Slice and serve to your thrilled family or guests.

For perfect results, remember not to overmix the batter. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days.
