  • 1 lb medium shrimp, peeled and deveined You can adjust the amount based on preference.
  • 1 lb mussels, scrubbed and debearded Feel free to substitute with clams if desired.
Sauce Ingredients
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Add more if you're a garlic enthusiast.
  • 1 cup heavy cream This is the star ingredient!
  • 1/2 cup white wine (optional) Can be substituted with chicken broth or omitted.
  • to taste salt and pepper Adjust based on your preference.
  • as needed chopped parsley for garnish For a fresh touch!

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, give your shrimp and mussels a quick rinse.
  2. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and wait until the aroma fills your kitchen.
  4. If using white wine, pour it in and let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add the shrimp and mussels into the skillet and stir to coat in the garlic butter.
  6. Cover the skillet and let them steam for 5-7 minutes or until the mussels open and the shrimp turn pink.
  7. Pour in the heavy cream and let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes. Stir well.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to your liking.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

If your sauce looks lumpy, just give it a good stir! For a healthier option, toss in some spinach during the last few minutes of cooking.
