Ingredients
  

Pasta and Shrimp
  • 12 ounces Pasta of your choice (linguine or spaghetti) Choose linguine or spaghetti for the best result
  • 1 pound Shrimp (peeled and deveined) Make sure shrimp are fresh
Sauce Ingredients
  • 4 tablespoons Butter Butter makes everything better
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced) Feel free to add more garlic if desired
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup White wine Use broth if not using wine
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese (grated) More cheese can be added to taste
To Finish
  • Fresh parsley (chopped) For garnish
  • Salt and pepper To taste
  • Optional: A pinch of red pepper flakes For added spice

Method
 

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Boil a large pot of salted water. Once boiling, add pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente (about 8-10 minutes).
Preparing the Shrimp
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side until they turn pink. Remove and set aside.
Making the Sauce
  1. In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Pour in white wine (or broth) and let it simmer for about 2 minutes.
  2. Add heavy cream and let it bubble softly for another couple of minutes.
Combining Everything
  1. Reduce heat to low and add cooked pasta, shrimp, and grated Parmesan cheese. Stir until pasta is coated with the sauce. Season with salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
Serving
  1. Plate the Shrimp Scampi Garlic Cream Pasta and garnish with fresh parsley. Enjoy your meal!

Notes

If the sauce feels too thick, save a cup of pasta water before draining to loosen it without losing flavor. Keep an eye on shrimp while cooking to avoid a rubbery texture. This can be a one-pan dish to minimize mess.
