Ingredients
  

Beef Patties Ingredients
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko) Panko works wonders!
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For searing the patties
Gravy Ingredients
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms Fresh mushrooms preferred, canned can be substituted
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley For garnish

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined and form into patties about 1/2 inch thick.
Cooking
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side to create a golden crust.
  2. Place the browned patties in your slow cooker.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, and sliced mushrooms; pour this mixture over the patties.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  5. About 15 minutes before serving, stir in fresh parsley.

Notes

No fresh mushrooms? Substitute with canned mushrooms or skip them altogether. Consider topping with sour cream or cheese for an extra treat. Leftovers can be transformed into sandwiches or served over rice.
