  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Enhances the savory flavor.
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil For sautéing the ingredients.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust according to preference.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large skillet, heat about 3 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced Andouille sausage and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until browned.
  3. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, stirring until the onions are translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Gradually stir in the chopped cabbage, coating it with the sausage juices and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Sauté for about 10-15 minutes until the cabbage has softened but retains some crunch.
  6. Add the jumbo shrimp and cook for another 3-5 minutes until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
  7. Adjust seasoning if necessary and add a splash of hot sauce if desired.
Serving
  1. Scoop the mixture onto plates and serve hot. Enjoy!

Notes

Pre-chopped cabbage can save time. For added spice, include red pepper flakes.
