Preparation
- In a large skillet, heat about 3 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the sliced Andouille sausage and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until browned.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic, stirring until the onions are translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Gradually stir in the chopped cabbage, coating it with the sausage juices and season with salt and pepper.
- Sauté for about 10-15 minutes until the cabbage has softened but retains some crunch.
- Add the jumbo shrimp and cook for another 3-5 minutes until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
- Adjust seasoning if necessary and add a splash of hot sauce if desired.
Serving
- Scoop the mixture onto plates and serve hot. Enjoy!
Notes
Pre-chopped cabbage can save time. For added spice, include red pepper flakes.
