  • 8 ounces spaghetti Cook until al dente.
  • 1 pound ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey or chicken.
  • 1 cup bell peppers Use a mix of red, yellow, and green for color.
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Adjust according to taste.
  • 1 can diced tomatoes 14.5 ounces.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning Add more if desired.
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and sauté the ground beef until browned.
  3. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the beef, cooking until the onion is translucent.
  4. Mix in the diced bell peppers and sauté for 5 minutes until they are soft yet crunchy.
  5. Stir in the can of diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Allow to simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  6. Drain the spaghetti and add it to the skillet, tossing everything together until well-coated.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, let the spaghetti sit in the sauce off the heat before serving. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
