Ingredients

Ice Cream Base
  • 4 cups vanilla ice cream let it soften slightly at room temperature
  • 1 cup chocolate syrup for that creepy darkness
  • 1 cup orange food coloring you’ll need some festive hue
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract because we can’t resist a hint of flavor
  • Sprinkles optional—but highly recommended

Method

Preparation
  1. Soften the Ice Cream: Take your vanilla ice cream out of the freezer and let it sit at room temperature for about 10-15 minutes until it’s soft enough to stir.
  2. Add the Flavor: In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened ice cream with the vanilla extract and stir until fully mixed in.
  3. Divide and Color: Scoop half of the ice cream mixture into another bowl. To this portion, add your orange food coloring and mix until the color is vibrant and even. The other half will stay vanilla.
  4. Layer It Up: In a large, freezer-safe container, start layering the ice cream. Begin with a layer of vanilla, making it about an inch thick. Drizzle a layer of chocolate syrup over the top, then add a layer of the orange-colored ice cream. Repeat the layers until all the ice cream is used up.
  5. Swirl It Together: Use a butter knife or a skewer to gently swirl the layers together for that beautiful marbled effect.
  6. Freeze: Cover the container and freeze for at least 4-6 hours (or until firm).
  7. Serve with Style: Scoop out the ice cream into bowls or cones, and top with sprinkles if desired.

Notes

Ice cream meltdown? Don’t worry if your ice cream softens too much while you’re mixing—just pop it back into the freezer for a while before layering. You can also use green or purple food coloring for a unique twist. This recipe is perfect for letting kids get involved in the kitchen!
