Main Ingredients

  • 8 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined Remove shells and devein
  • 8 oz noodles (rice or egg noodles) Preferably rice or egg noodles
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 unit red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • to taste sesame seeds and green onions for garnish Optional

Method

Preparation
  1. Boil water in a large pot and cook your noodles according to package instructions. Stir to prevent sticking, then drain and rinse with cold water.
  2. In a large pan or wok, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat. Season the steak with salt and pepper, then add to the pan and sear each side for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Toss in the shrimp and add more salt and pepper to taste. Sauté until the shrimp is pink, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add minced garlic, red bell pepper, and broccoli florets to the pan, sautéing until vegetables are tender (about 2-3 minutes).
  5. Add the cooked noodles, soy sauce, and teriyaki sauce to the pan. Toss gently to combine and let cook for another minute or two.
  6. Plate the Steak Shrimp Noodles and sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions for garnish.

Notes

For substitutions, chicken or tofu can be used instead of steak. Feel free to add more vegetables like snap peas or carrots. Leftovers keep well in an airtight container for up to 3 days, just reheat with a splash of water or broth.
