Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound sausage links (your choice—pork, turkey, or chicken)
  • 1 pound bacon (the thicker, the better!)
  • 12-15 leaves fresh sage leaves
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup for that sweet sticky finish
  • toothpicks or kitchen twine to hold the bacon in place

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). This will ensure your sausages get that lovely crispy finish.
  2. Take a sausage link and place a sage leaf on top. Wrap the sausage with a slice of bacon, ensuring it covers as much surface area as possible. Secure it with a toothpick or kitchen twine.
  3. Place the bacon-wrapped sausages on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Cooking
  1. Drizzle the wrapped sausages with maple syrup.
  2. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes, turning them halfway through for even crispiness.
Serving
  1. Once out of the oven, let them cool for a couple of minutes before serving. Enjoy them straight or with a side of warm dipping sauce.

Notes

Use thick-cut bacon for extra crunch. Fresh sage can be substituted with dried sage or other herbs like thyme. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
