Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter For melting
  • 1 package (10 oz) mini marshmallows Main binding ingredient
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract Adds flavor
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal The base of the treat
  • 1 cup freeze-dried strawberries, crushed Provides strawberry flavor and color
  • to taste white chocolate drizzle Optional for decoration

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large pot, melt the butter over low heat.
  2. Once melted, add in the mini marshmallows and stir until completely smooth.
  3. Remove the pot from the heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the Rice Krispies cereal, stirring gently until well combined.
  5. Fold in the crushed freeze-dried strawberries.
  6. Line a 9x13 inch pan with parchment paper. Pour the mixture into the pan and press it down firmly.
  7. Let the treats cool at room temperature for about an hour, or until they are firm.
  8. Once set, cut into squares. Drizzle with melted white chocolate if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days.
