Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced Choose ripe, sweet strawberries for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar Split the sugar for blending with strawberries.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

Method

Preparation
  1. In a blender or food processor, combine the sliced strawberries with half of the sugar (approximately 3/8 cup). Blend until smooth with a few chunks for texture.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, remaining sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
  3. Gently fold the strawberry puree into the cream mixture, creating beautiful pink swirls.
Chilling
  1. Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions. If you don't have an ice cream maker, transfer the mixture to a freezer-safe container and stir every 30 minutes for about 3 hours until it reaches a scoopable consistency.
Serving
  1. Scoop into bowls and enjoy your refreshing frozen treat!

Notes

For best results, choose fresh strawberries and chill the base mixture before churning. If you do not have an ice cream maker, a shallow dish can speed up the freezing process.
