Method
Preparation
- Peel and devein your shrimp, chop the fresh parsley, and mince the garlic.
Cooking the Steak
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the butter. Once melted, season ribeye steaks with salt and pepper.
- Sear the steaks for about 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, then flip and add minced garlic. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes.
- Transfer the steaks to a plate, cover, and let them rest.
Sauté the Shrimp
- In the same skillet, add olive oil if necessary, then toss in the shrimp and season with salt and pepper.
- Cook until shrimp are pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from heat.
Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce
- In the same pan, reduce heat to medium and pour in heavy cream. Stir in Dijon mustard and lemon juice, adding salt and pepper.
- Allow to simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened.
Combine and Serve
- Spoon the creamy sauce over the steaks and nestle the shrimp on top. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
Keep a close eye on shrimp to avoid overcooking. Substitutions can be made for the steak, like chicken or meat alternatives.
